Official statistics show that Qom is one of the country's most important egg production hubs, and Qum's poultry are the pioneer in exporting a significant amount of their produce.
For many years, Qom has a special place in the field of livestock and poultry farming and its related products, such as eggs, and in addition to supplying the province with a demand, it exports a considerable amount of this product to other parts of the country.
Maintaining and upgrading this position requires long-term planning and support from activists in the field, in which regard the IRNA reporter sought the opinion of a number of officials and administrators of the province's agriculture and livestock sector.
The laying hens of Qom should be strengthened
The head of Qom Agricultural Jihad Organization said: "The poultry and egg producer organizations are very strong and forward-looking that need to be further strengthened to develop the province's egg industry."
"Eggs as a whole food is an indicator to evaluate the protein value of other foods.
He said: "Unfortunately, per capita egg consumption per capita, as well as the whole country, is equivalent to half of the consumption in developed countries.
"The fat and cholesterol in the egg is quite healing and has no harm to the consumer," he said, noting that the culture of egg consumption has not yet reached the desired per capita.
The head of Qom Jihad also emphasized the importance of monitoring the egg production chain from supplying chickens and inputs to the processing and consumption chains.
