Yazdi poultry observes biosecurity to curb flu outbreak

Dr. Ali Akbar Haddadzadeh told IRNA on Thursday: "People working in the poultry industry should start injecting the flu vaccine every year at the beginning of the cold season (September and October)."
"The flu virus has the potential to become more acute if combined with human and avian viruses, and it has many problems, so people need to be aware of the health issues of not getting the virus," he said.
Haddadzadeh stated that if a person was infected with human influenza until he was fully recovered, he would not be in contact with poultry.
Yazd Veterinary Director General added: In the current situation, the main concern of influenza in the region is human type (H۱N۱) and its prevalence in the community which has created concerns that are controlled by the timely entry of Yazd Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences.
Poultry meat supplied at authorized centers is healthy
The Director General of Veterinary Medicine of Yazd also continued: Due to the prevalence of avian influenza in the province, poultry meat supplied in authorized centers is in good health.
Hadzadzadeh assured citizens that the eggs and poultry eggs that are consumed under the veterinary supervision are free of any diseases and are under the full supervision of veterinary experts and supervisors.
"Raw animal products, especially red meat and poultry, are in good health if purchased from authorized and supervised veterinary centers," he said.
